How much paperwork do I have to fill out?

Minimal paperwork to be completed. It will be emailed to you once you book an appointment, and these are all completed on-line.

What can I expect in a first session?

First session is for us to get to know each other. For you to ask me questions about the process, and about my qualifications and expertise. I use the first session to get to know you, your goals for therapy, and create a plan to achieve these goals.

With whom do you work?

I work with both individual men and women, older teenagers and couples.  I am LGBTQIA affirming.

Will I have homework?

Yes, because the actual work, change and improvement happens outside of our sessions when you practice what you learn in session.

How often do I need to come to therapy?

It depends on your situation and need. Someone in crisis may need to be seen once or even twice a week initially.  As your particular situation improves and you learn skills to manage your mood and emotions better, we may meet every other week for a while. Eventually, we may meet as needed.
